I’ve been working on my shading and making it deeper per suggestions earlier. I think that this could possibly be the best pastel/charcoal/pencil creation yet. I’m bound and determined to get this right. Right in my eyes that is. I’ve still got work to learn to do the mouth and nose more acurately, but I’m quite please with this!

Even with your own stylings, I recognized the subject right off. Back when I was drawing I hated to do noses. I never really felt that I could do them justice as far as shading and sizing properly. I agree with Shelly that you are definitely maturing in your shading ability. A properly shaded drawing will always appeal to me over one that is otherwise perfect in proportion.
