Having researched both my family and my husband’s family has only made me more determined to travel to the UK. Between the 2 of us, we are Scottish, Irish, English, and Cherokee…..we can go see his ancestral estate on the Cherokee side of the family whenever we want, but the remaining estates (or remains of estates) are across the water…..and travel has been a dream of mine since I was in 3rd grade.

I have located MY family’s ancestral estate – still intact and owned by relatives (the research will be fun for me!) and have managed to find where the remains of DH’s family estate are located.

Add in a friend in Kent who has invited me to visit with her…..and the fact that DH lived in London for a while…makes me jealous and ready to pack up and fly NOW….but kids need ot be a little bit older
