it was typed but the words were an apology and asking my forgiveness for destroying our friendship.
I do forgive him. I just can’t trust him.
If he weren’t a liar we could still be friends.
But if you can’t trust your friend what is left?
Nothing.

I am glad your “ex-friend” finally came around t a degree. I really don’t give advice well…I share life experiences mostly.
I am not responding. My last e-mail to him was an apology for losing my temper.
He acknowledged having received it and that I had nothing to apologize for. He said he was the one that destroyed our friendship with his lies and for that he apologized.
He really didn’t ask for forgiveness or a re-newal of our friendship just he is sorry he acted the way he did and he won’t ever do that again…
For whatever that’s worth. I am usually pretty kind hearted and forgive and forget many things…except lies…that is a matter of trust.
I truly believe people are in our lives for a reason…some for a lifetime some for a split second.
I’d say give it a few days and think if you need that kind of friendship in your life any longer.
