Actually I’m still working on it, it’s an on-going process. One source of new ideas which I came about recently is the pandora website (www.pandora.com) – you give them the name of a song or an artist that you like, and they build a “radio station” that plays music in a similar vein. I find this a very interesting experience – I don’t always “agree” with their choices, but they do get it right from time to time, and even when they don’t, at least it’s thought-provoking – it raises questions such as why I like this or that particular song, how come there’s two songs that are very similar musically and yet I only like one of them, etc.

Pandora - amazing!
Ophir,
Just wanted to say thanks for the Pandora recommendation. Pandora is the most amazing thing after iTunes for a music freak like myself.
For anyone interested in learning about new music, check out Pandora!!! It’s like having a best friend that recommends music based on your personal preferences. Pretty amazing.

Pandora is only accessible in US now
I went to the website for the first time just before and it says…it’s not anymore accessible for people living outside the United States
Do you know where on the web I could listen to “the song of Peace”...I am not sure about the real tittle…maybe “shiru shalom” sang by “Mira Alony”...again I am not certain if it’s her exact name.
If you don’t know the song…do you know a website where I could listen hebrew songs….that would be great :)
Hi Blue_Bird,
Here you go: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dY9KWBWjXWM
It’s “Shir la shalom” (‘a song for peace’) by Miri Aloni.
There’s lots of Hebrew songs on Youtube, but I guess if you can’t read Hebrew it may be difficult for you to search them. I’ll be glad to help if you’re looking for something specific.

Thank you so much Ophir :-)
Shalom Raver,
You guessed well…I can’t read hebrew…ani medabereth ksad ivrit…very little though
Any ohevet ivrit…and I also enjoy very much most of the israeli, jewish music too.
I don’t know any tittle of songs appart from Yerushalahim “which I already found on the web”. I even don’t know names of singers….sorry.
I wonder if there is a hebrew speaking radio with music…which I could listen on the web.
Thanks a lot for the link and proper name…I really love that song…I have heard it the first time at the yearly music festival in Yerushalayim years ago…sang by Miri Aloni…bought the CD afterward, but I can’t find it now.
This song is associate with a lot of good memories for me…but sadly it’s also the last song Rabin sang.
You can try this link:

It’s a station that only plays Israeli music. There are lots of other Isreali radion stations on the same site, most of which play some Israeli music (among other stuff) – unfortunately the list is in Hebrew, though
