Record an album
Now I can die happy, except...

...over time, you begin to want to do another! I released my first album in 2004. It’s been almost exactly a year since I got my copies back from Discmakers, and in that year I have seen so much from the album in terms of music career growth, even though I didn’t have the $$ to do as much promotion as I would have liked. I recently met a woman who had recorded 4 albums in 4 years, 2 independent and 2 on a label, and I thought, how nice it must be to get that continual snapshot, have that body of work continually growing and evolving. It’s the greatest feeling in the world when you put those hard-won business and secretarial skills to the task of selling something you actually care about: your music.
