After thirty one years, Lookout Mountain Flight Park in Chattanooga towed us up fifteen hundred feet into the air and cut us loose. I loved every minute of it. If I could make the time and money available, I’d love to train to do a running launch off the side of the mountain. Hopefully I’ll get to do that before another thirty one years have passed.
Tht is so cool!!! I wanted to do that for my 40th Birthday, but somehow it just didnt happen. I’m a couple years older now, but I still want to do it!!

I was hoping to do this through Lookout Mountain too… Do you remember your plan and costs and such things? Did you do a one day experience? Thanks!
We did the most basic flight they offer: the Discovery Tandem. It cost $140, and the pictures (one of which you see above) cost $20, I believe.
I’d have liked to have done the Introductory Experience, but I waited too close to the day we planned to go and there were no spots available. If that’s something you want to do, plan ahead and reserve early.
