Improve my sleeping habits (read all 11 entries…)

I can not believe how horrid I have been doing. For a while I would sleep from about 11pm to 4am, walk the dog for an hour and then sleep from about 5:30 am to 10am….(Helps that I have an odd work schedule)
but for the past three nights I’ve found it hard to sleep….
I used to be such a good sleeper!

good luck with this goal. I still struggle at times with my sleep, but those times are very isolated now. Des used to tell me that caffeine was hindering my sleep, and I just kind of ignored her, because it really didn’t seem to matter back then and I really didn’t want to give it up. Now that I’ve almost totally given it up, I seriously do notice a difference. It might be something you try at least until you get straightened out.

I have had little caffiene

I think it may be the work schedule, and then being sick….in about 2 weeks I go to a night schedule in a different state, so i hope I’ll straighten out. I am probably a bit depressed too as things have been sort of hairy. :( thanks for the good thoughts…I am a caffiene junky, but being sick sort of took away that appeal.

It took me about...

3 to 4 months to totally get it out of my system. That’s the reason I did my goals dealing with caffeine for a year, so that I’d get it out of my system and out of my behavioral patterns. It’s not easy, but it’s worth seeing how your body will react without it.
