Most of the herbs I planted are either perennial or self sowing / reseeding in my Zone 7 area (Thyme, majoram, sage, parsley, oregano, mint, and catnip). Planting in containers makes it easier to keep them from taking over the garden – and having the containers on the porch just off the kitchen makes harvesting while cooking super simple!
