start a reformed coffee/book shop
Untitled

This has always been my “dream.” A place for fellowship, good books, good coffee, and good friends. Also, a warm place for homeless people to stop by and hear the awesome, life-changing message of Christ and what He accomplished at the Cross.

Comments:

This is a cool idea. I guess I kind of was impressed by the effectiveness of this sort of approach after reading “L’Abri” by Edith Schaeffer (not that they started a store/shop, but in their approach to L’Abri).

The example of the Schaeffer outreach in Switzerland is a great example of the way God can bless us if we only are willing to “roll up our sleeves”.

There is something special about talking about the important things of life around a coffee (or tea, for tea-lovers). Books, beverages, and non-typical discussion. What more could one ask for?

So.. when will it open? :)

OOOOOOOOooooo….I’ve heard good things about L’Abri. I’ll have to read Edith’s book. Speaking of talking about the important things in life around a hot drink, have you read the book “Common Grounds”? It’s been good so far. Check it out. God bless you!

I never heard of “Common Grounds”. Thanks for the pointer.
