The only recent photo that I uploaded that had been edited was a shadow. I figure, hey… this is me. Imperfections and all, its just who I am.
The Self Portrait Goal at Flickr has actually REALLY helped me enormously with my self image.
I know I marked that “Feel Beautiful” goal as done a long time ago, but for me… that feeling is an ongoing practice. I certainly don’t feel beautiful all of the time, but looking at myself differently – with rawness and truth… helps.
And here is an irony. I don’t wear make-up all that often. I leave my skin unadorned. In this photo? Make up… LOL. I was in the women’s locker room at BC, preparing to go on stage. I like the eye makeup though. I think it looks pretty.
