scarlett is on a Bowie high!

have a big tea collection (read all 2 entries…)
I wonder if I'll ever get there 1 year ago

My dream is to one day own a huge cupboard full of different tea flavours, so whenever someone comes to visit me, they could just pick their favourite flavour and wouldn’t have to settle for something else just because I didn’t have the tea they wanted to have. I’m not a big fan of black teas, so I think I’m going to start my collection from different types of green and herbal teas, as those are the ones I love to drink. I mean, there are LOADS of different variations of green tea; green tea wit mint, with lemon, and what else. I’m not sure how I should classify different tea flavours, are green tea with mint and green tea with lemon still just green tea, or not? Because I think they’re not, but would it be too big an attempt to try to get a collection with variations of every tea flavour there is in the world? I guess it would, but then again, ambitions make you work harder for your goals. :D

I’m still not sure how to go about this goal, if I already have, say, Lipton’s white tea, is it enough, or should I also try to get my hands on some other company’s white tea? Ack, this is starting to sound more complicated than I first thought. :s Not going to give up, though! I will have that cupboard full of different tea flavours one day.

- white tea (Lipton)
- aromatic green tea (Forsman Tea)
- green tea flavoured with fruit oils (Forsman Tea)
- green tea with mint (Pirkka)

Gah. :x If I bought a new tea flavour every month, I could really say I’m progressing in this… yes, I’ll try to do just that.

Comments:

Green tea is green tea, no matter what flavorings, just as black tea is black tea no matter what and so on.

The other types of tea that come from the camilia sinensis plant (where black tea and green tea come from) are oolong and white.

Tea comes in many different grades. If you want top quality tea, you have to be willing to pay more money for it. Having a large tea collection is far from difficult, but you have to be willing to spend quite a lot in order to build a proper collection.

By the way, I added you to my Livejournal. I do a lot of writing about tea and thought perhaps you could get some information about some new teas to try.

Ah! Thank you for the clarification. :) I’m very well aware that quality costs and yes, I am ready to pay for it, so in a way that’s not a problem.

I also checked your Livejournal, thanks for the add, I’m sure I’ll get something out from your entries. :)
