...for the things I have done to drive this humongous wedge between us, but I am learning the hard way that the only way I can earn her forgiveness is to learn to forgive myself first.

The root of the majority of our problems all along has been my own insecurities – the off-shoots of that mess climb like vines through our lives and bear fruit that makes us ill.

I make a little mistake and it is magnified by my self-loathing over the matter into a huge inferno. I must learn to accept that I will make mistakes and to forgive myself instead of commencing to start the mental flogging every time.

Easier said than done, but I must.
