Do we really need everything we have? Why are we drawn to looking in every catalog that comes to us in the mail? It seems to me that it is waaaaaay easier to aquire something than it is to part with it later. It becomes part of our “extended self”. Weird, isn’t it?
Advertisement sometimes is our enemy. We were just fine without that little extra something.
Now, we have to figure out where to put it, clean or dust it, stack it, file it, know just where it is when we need it…....
Yep, time to simplify.
do we REALLY?

I've gotten into the habit...
of throwing out the catalogs that come in the mail without looking at them. I have a few that I glance at for birthday/Christmas present ideas, but even those I usually just toss out without buying anything from them. It’s very liberating, and now there’s a lot less clutter in my house!
I agree
I find that possessions can become a burden, and I feel much better with fewer possessions. The house also feels more spacious when it’s not filled with ‘stuff’. As you said, it requires dusting, storage, etc. What I NEED is less housekeeping details!
