I can pretty much keep my yap shut these days about most things. When I really want to vent, I use the internet.

‘Cuz you know what? My opinion don’t mean nothin’ to nobody. At least, not my opinion about “big stuff” like The War, “global warming,” or, y’know, “newsworthy” stuff. I don’t have millions of dollars to bribe my way into the inner circles of policy and decision makers, and if I did have millions of dollars, would I waste it on those pathetic parasites and scumbags who are the leaders of the so-called “free world”? I don’t think so!

And I’m finally learning that at work the best policy is to just shut the hell up. In fact, two of us received compliments from our boss last week for our “professional conduct” at a contentious meeting. Our “professional conduct” consisted of not saying a word.

So I suppose, having been praised for “professional conduct” simply by remaining silent, I can legitimately consider this goal accomplished.
