I’m hosting a party for my coworkers Monday, so I need to figure out which minestrone soup I’m going to make. I normally don’t try new recipes out for guests, but I am having an Italian themed meal. So, this was my first choice for the soup course.

So, I’m letting my 43T friends help me with this decision. Deadline Saturday, 4 p.m., 43T timestamp time.

recipe 2 sounds better – but I would play with it a little – escarole instead of swiss chard. I would probably skip the pancetta too. I think of minestrone as a non meat soup. just my opinion though ;)

I think the spices are important, & it just seems a little fresher to me (as in made with more unprocessed foods).

I see what you're saying.

Maybe if the vote stays tied, I might have to combine the two recipes some way. There are elements of both that appeal to me. Either way I go, I’m not putting the meat in it, though.
