Message from Mr. Terrierhead 2 years ago

Hey, all,

Terrierhead wanted me to send the word out that she’s been hospitalized again. From what the doctors are saying, she developed an infection after her c-section and it made itself very much known yesterday evening.

She’s stabilized and should be coming home in a few days. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Thank you!

I’m back at home now (actually at my mother-in-law’s place for Thanksgiving) and am on the road to as normal as I get. Your kind thoughts are appreciated.

Oh no

I’m glad she’s doing better now and I hope everything is going ok with the babies! Instant single parenting! Very stressful!

Hey...

...are you home yet??

A Well-Read Dog Head is standing right behind you

I'm baaack!

I actually got out of the hospital about a week ago, but I’ve been too knocked out to do much. Hemorrhaging is bad.

How are you doing?

Phew

I was getting really worried. How long were you in? How are the twins? How did Mr. Terrierhead survive with them alone? He must be a real pro now!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mr. Terrierhead was a pro before, but now he’s just amazing. I was in the hospital for four days on an IV and had to get some blood transfusions. The twins are dandy except for a bad case of nipple confusion – the breastfeeding difficulty got even worse, go figure. Mr. T’s mom helped him out with the boys, for which we’re all grateful.

Ask me about my amazing method of losing 40 lbs in less than three weeks!

Oh my!

I have been too busy to keep up with everyone as I’d like, so I missed this when it was posted. I’m so glad you’re better! But I would bet you don’t have much energy yet at all.

Your body really has a dramatic flair, doesn’t it?

A Well-Read Dog Head is standing right behind you

My body is a drama queen

I need some drama free time, though, darn it. I have no energy at all and my brain is starting to do interesting sleep deprivation tricks. On the bright side, people keep commenting about how thin I am.

How are you?

RuthG is going to walk her dog-body.

Wow

After my son was born, it took awhile to slim back down. You’re already getting comments about being thin? Those little guys must be milking you pretty steadily.

I’m OK but not great. Trying to cheer myself up & regroup after getting a rejection from a publisher today.

Hope your body becomes a bit less dramatic for a good long while . . .

A Well-Read Dog Head is standing right behind you

I hope so, too.

About the drama, I mean. The weight loss is less from being a human cow and more from being incredibly sick for a bit there.

Have you submitted to other publishers? Would you like me to go to the publisher who rejected you and beat them up? I could use the exercise.

RuthG is going to walk her dog-body.

I'm afraid it would be

rather pitiful to send an emaciated, recently hemorrhaging new mom to beat up the (female) editor & assistant at this publishing company. Horrors!

No, just work on getting stronger & beefing up your little guys. Maybe later I’ll have a job that will require a whole fierce, powerful family! You never know.

:-)

How...

...is it going??
