stop smoking
The Beginning of the End

My official quit day was Nov. 7th. I went away for 6 days and was not able to smoke while I was gone so I thought it would be a good starting point. I did buy some of the cherry commit lozenges. I must say they seem to work much better than the gum I tried several years ago. Much less heartburn and hiccups. I decided to try them even though the pharmacist told me she had not seen many people try them. They actually taste pretty decent after the first couple. So anyway, I’m back in town and doing well… except when I’m driving… I feel so out of place not having my window down with a cigarette in my hand! I am trying so hard to fight the urge to stop at the nearest gas station. I’m also sort of dreading my first non-smoking trip to the bar, but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I reach it. So for now it’s one day at a time right (more like one lozenge at a time!)? I won’t count this as complete for awhile.. I don’t trust myself that much!
