Get Hisself Organized (read all 4 entries…)
First Things First 1 year ago

I can’t get my crap organized until I get his crap organized.
Does anyone have a super-size bottle of Tylenol?

Flirt is sad that she's missing out on the FUN in Seattle is cheering for Matty in the marathon today

Tiger needs a Tylenol

NOW!

P.S. Here’s an extra bottle, I figure Hisself probably needs a bottle of his own!

Are You Telling Me...

I have to share these, too?
Tiger concedes but takes the lion’s share.

good luck with that!

i’ve only heard.. but ..

You Could Have Seen It...

but you were too busy at the DSC. ;)

is THAT what hisself said?

cause I waited for him to come out..

are there no pictures?

Apparently Not

because you didn’t post any.

It's too bad there is not a

“I want to watch this” button.

Or...

a fast-forward button.

that is a very funny one.

but just so you have a frame of reference, I’m putting up a video of my sister’s house.

CropTillDawn~ Gobble Gobble Pumpkin Pie!

I know it is hard to deal with.

My mom does this too.
Sometimes it helps to laugh a little.
George Carlin does this Funny skit.
My Dad was the opposite. He would throw out everything when my mom would leave him and go back to Ohio almost every Summer.
Now I find myself forming sentimental attachments to my Photos, Books, Clothes and especially my kids toys for them. I don’t really have anything from my childhood.

Tiger just make sure you sit down with him and sort things by, keep, toss, give away, store or donate. Just don’t get rid of anything without his permission.
The TV show Clean Sweep is good to watch for ideas.
Good luck :)

Jesus Christ, Bill!

I recall you and I talking about your sister some months ago…and you posting a photo of her living room.

This little video actually had me holding my breath.

It’s an amazing look into the poor woman’s mind.

EDIT

As I view that video again, I wonder if THIS room is in it and I just didn’t recognize it?

yes.. that's her family room

but if you’re there, please don’t disturb the bunnies.

The dust bunnies.

though if they are cat and dog hair, are they really dust bunnies?

OMG!!!

How did you ever find her? If packrat runs in the family, get a vaccination.

I’m relieved to report that hisself is not that bad… but then again… hisself’s soon-2bx has lightened the load a bit.

Good thing I can speak freely on this site. If he were a 43T’er, I’d be in big trouble. ;)

Did you happen to catch Oprah the other day Bill?

(not that I am suggesting this is something you watch every day ;)
It was about a woman with an infliction far worse than your sister has to date, who was outed by her own children hoping to free her from this weighty and overwhelming burden she had been carrying around for twelve or so years.
Amazing and heartbreaking all at the same time.
....Was that your sister in the video?...(as she looked none too impressed to see the filming crew. ;)
.....what happened after the camera shut off?

I did miss that Oprah episode

actually, I miss most of them.

I hope her kids, who live with her, overcome their upbringing and get her help, but I doubt that will happen.

No, you’re right about that.. she was not happy to see me video taping.

We had a little talk about it, but she was unable to get me to delete it.

It’s been six months. I don’t know if there has been any change.

RUNRGRL is always a Mom 1st needs to either let 43 things go or get back into it

It's difficult to imagine

Living in that kind of situation. I would not be able to handle it as I can barely stand it when my clutter is well out of view in my basement I still find myself thinking of it and feeling unsettled. My mom actually had a border whose room looked much like that. I don’t know how far it would have gotten in his own place, but I know it started to “leak” out of his room at times.

Like Dharma I’ve seen a few shows that delved into this problem and many received help/counseling to deal with the underlying problem. Perhaps one day your sister will be ready for that. I’m sure it would be comforting for you to see her get the help she apparently needs, for her emotional well-being as well as physical.

WOW.

I mean wow.
I always thought I was a bit of a slob. Um, cause I don’t ALWAYS make my bed. Wow.

Uncle Enore is sending brain healing rays to the NakedDumbass

I NEVER make my bed.

Well…unless piling the sleeping bags that have fallen off onto the floor back on the bed after I get ready for work is considering “making” it.

Wow

doesn’t even begin to describe it. :O

I've only seen pictures

I can’t even imagine what it looks like in person.

Forget the tylenol… Consider DUMPSTER!!!

TG

By the time

you finally do see it in person, it will be a lot better.

Tiger is a good motivator ;)

Tiger thinks TG is a Hot Turkey (and is feeling like a wild one herself) has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
