I’m a choral singer who usually gets his gigs singing at church. Right now I’m living in Holland, and it struck me how boring the monophonic mass is that we sing every Sunday. So I decided to write a better one (in Dutch) that we could sing instead.
It’s really hard! Right now I have a piecemeal Kyrie and the beginnings of a Gloria. I’d appreciate some helpful tips from anyone who’s already done this!
I want to encourage you in this goal as strongly as I can. This is the type of revitalization through the arts that I think both individuals and society need. May God sustain you in your work, and may God be glorified in it!
