This last weekend my husband and I had a great discussion over Romans 14. We both love that text. I really needed to study it over again. I get so annoyed at times at people in general as if I knew better, you know? AS IF!! This text is awesome, so humbling, so full of wisdom and great advice. I just love it.
We have been dealing with some difference of opinion between his parents and ourselves about how we should practice our religion and I get very upset about this issue. They are very conservative, but in my view very incongruent. This drives me crazy!! I love them and respect them and I hope that after the talk he had with them they’ll at least respect our choices. I do wish they understood them, but I’ll settle for respect. I was kinda proud of myself for not confronting his mom, I so wanted to say what was on my mind. But, it was more an issue they needed to discuss with my husband. So, it was good to read Romans 14 again and refocus on what is important.
