become a vegan
Become a vegan

I have been a vegetarian for nearly four full years and would one day like to become a vegan. At the moment, this is very tough to achieve because it is sometimes a great inconvenience to others when my special diet gets in the way of certain activities. I already quit non-vegan foods that I used to enjoy eating, such as ice cream.

Additionally, by becoming a vegan, I also mean the items I use. I changed from a leather wallet many years ago to a vegan one, but cannot afford many other items, such as sneakers that contain small pieces of leather in them.

I would like to become a vegan one day – not only when it comes to the food I eat, but the way I live as well.

Comments:

Just dont' care

You can’t care if your ethical stance gets in the way of others life.
If you really care about the treatment of animals, someone being annoyed at you shouldn’t stop you from doing what you know is right.
And as for replacing everything else, vegan things aren’t always more expensive than the non-vegan options.
Stores like Payless have tons of shoes that are vegan. Most canvas shoes are vegan. Normally as long as there isn’t leather you’re okay.

PS, when you say vegan it is assumed you don’t wear leather and such. If you do you’re just a vegetarian.
