CatalogChoice.org

Tis the season to get a heap of unwanted catalogs in my mailbox. What a huuuuge waste of paper! Most are addressed to my apartment’s prior residents. The free service at CatalogChoice.org allows you to select the offending catalog from a list, enter your customer number found near the mailing label, and they do all the rest.

Thanks for sharing!!

I hadn’t heard of this. A year ago I started calling the companies to have me removed from their mailing list, but that’s so time consuming. THis is a great service!

I'm glad you find it useful!

Now that I’ve contacted the catalogs coming to my apartment, I’ve decided to tackle the deluge of paper that arrives in my parents’ mailbox. :)

oh yes!

this is a fantastic idea! I haven’t gotten many catalogs this year, and frankly, i was disappointed that I didn’t get to kill many via that site. But now my parents… MOMMA MIA! they got a ton (and i bet it’s almost a ton) of catalogs. Yeah! Those suckas are gonna get zapp-o-fied!

sweet!

I’m so glad that it sparked something for you! I was also sort of disappointed I didn’t get to zap too many catalogs…

But fresh in my mind was the image of helping my dad for nearly nearly 20 minutes moving all the catalogs and magazines off the coffee table at Thanksgiving. Granted, he probably hadn’t done that since last Christmas, but still, it was a seriously unhealthy mound of paper. Wish I had taken a picture of it…. I also need to find him a place to recycle it; he usually just burns paper.

I think we are going to have fun times zapp-o-fying our parents’ piles :)
