I loved that picture of Van Gogh. It was a self-portrait of him by the description. Before I went to Washington D.C. I had always loved his art but I never knew he had made a self-portrait. It was amazing. I wish I could paint like that. I wish I had enough money to buy it and hang it up in my apartment because I would do it in a heart beat! Oh well, I can dream right lol

Van Gogh has always been my favorite artist, ever since my parents took me to an exibition of his works at San Francisco’s De Young museum when I was 8. I have seen his works in Holland and Paris’s Impressionist Building. Whenever his paintings come to a city I’m in, I’m there. My wife has to drag me away, because I will stare at his paintings until tears run down my face. His self portraits I find most moving, his China blue eyes reflecting his pain. If I could travel back in time to meet just one person, it would be he.
