I took classical guitar classes for almost two years in High School. Now I am a year out of college and really out of practice. I sometimes pick up my nylon stringed guitar and finger pick some spicy Italian flamenco-styled piece. I really should set aside a time at least a couple of times a week to practice. I would really like to learn chords, but for now I just know how to finger pick and read music. Chords allow you to freestyle and actually play for people in an informal setting.
