Do some volunteer work in the inner city
Helping Our Cities

I need to donate some time to helping our cites become a better home for our citizens. Oakland, CA is a wonderful place, but with tight funding and reduced city services, many are doing without, and this needs to change. I’ll check the local agencies who need help and will get out and make a difference.

I did this when I was younger and I really enjoyed helping people out. I volunteered in a place that gave out clothes and we also got produce and bread form local grocey srore abut three times a week that they could not sell these items, but did not want to throw the food out as it was stll good. I miss helping out like that, but in live in the country and am a mom of two young kids. I do donate old clothes and food to places that need it. Not the same, but better then nothing.

It can be hard at times you want to put your arms around the people who live in the inner city and say you are loved, I care how can I help you not change you, but just help.
You meet the most interesting people who have the most interesting stories. I found at times I could be on my toes and at other times at complete ease. I still loved helping without help we all would not be where we are. At one point in our lives someone reached out a hand and I believe that we must extend our hand in return and one day the whole world will be holding hands.
