i’ve dabbled here too : gulf of mexico, flores sea; java sea, gulf of thailand, tasman sea, southern ocean
maybe we should make it a joint effort :o)

love that whole area .. some really different corals and lots of sea snakes .. did you ever get up to north sulawesi? or maumere in flores?

No,
Sumbawa (almost stepped on a
sea snake) and southern Flores
(Ende).
North Sulawesi is my dream -
and Banda and the whole Banda
Sea – Okay, Ceram would be nice
and Halmahera as well.
The Gili islands were perfect
two hours after sunset with a
fat light and 4Kgs of weight
freediving. Oh, the fish!

the moluccas! they have been on my dream destinations list for a very long time .. i can see im in good dive stories company.
nearly got up that way crewing in the darwin to ambon, but the skipper was just a little too randy :o0 so i bailed at the last minute
spent a couple of weeks on trawangan and yes, the freediving is to die for .. that fab drop off, right off the beach, and the fish! total heaven :o)
northern sulawesi is definitely worth the trip, head out to bunaken if you make it up there.
