I’m moving into my loft in 3 days. It’s huge and open. I’m so excited!

I was so excited when I first saw it in person, let alone knowing now that I actually get to move into it!

Lofts always remind me of my desire to live in NY City, but it’s too crowded and way too expensive for a realistic goal.

These lofts are about 40 minutes outside of Atlanta, in a little town called Porterdale. It’s an old textile mill (I’m living in the Cotton Warehouse). More pictures are here if you’re interested and the website for the lofts is here. It’s a loft in the original sense, too, from a really old building. A lot of the Atlanta lofts are just high-ceiling apartments. My cousin lives in NYC, and her last apartment was part of a converted building. It’s what really inspired me to live in a building like this. I really want to buy a warehouse or a gym or a church and convert it for just one person/family, which is what lofts are supposed to be – massive spaces with very few walls.
