sleeping in a hammock sets you free, because you are hanging in the air and the back and forth rocking motion totally relaxes you. hammocks are perfect for reading a book too. looks like you have to overcome a few hurdles, but dont give up. i live in warm weather, have the hammock and the trees and havent done it. what am i waiting for? you have inspired me to do it. :-)
