When our children see affection as normal even necessary between mom and dad, they are more affectionate themselves.

My X and I have been divorced for 8 years I think, anyway, when he comes here to see our children. We are just as affectionate as we were while married. NO, not sex.

But, he’ll kiss me good night and we’ll hug or he rubs my feet or asks me to rub his. Our children eat it up. I just see such a peace come over them.

They have no illusion that their parents will get together, they know that is NOT going to happen. But, they also know their parents love one another. To me that is very important.
