I’m quite the opposite from the average person it seems; I’m not at all outgoing and I do things by myself all the time, including going to movies and restaurants and stuff like that. (Read my entries here and here and here also). I really can’t imagine why doing things solo should ever be considered a big deal. Sure, it’s nice to share experience with others, but sometimes it’s also nice and liberating to be totally in control yourself…

don’t get me wrong: i love other people; other people are fabulous…

but there’s something about going out to a movie by yourself…you can laugh and cry and like and not like whatever you want to about it without being distracted by what the person next to you’s opinion is on the matter.

tip: go to a kinda cute, little, older movie theatre if you can. self-dates in big shiny places can feel lonely and weird, but self-dates in places that are adorable are just grand.
