7 weeks later are you still very happy with your Pentax? I heard very good things about Pentax lately and i’m currently having a hard time to choose between Canon or Nikon, so maybe choosing Pentax could be another possibility ;-)

I’m still extremely happy with it! The thing that made me go Pentax instead of Nikon (D80), for example, is the very good quality/price ratio. The K10D’s body is “weather resistant” (10mm rain/hour)which the Nikon equivalent is not, and so on. Moreover, Pentax give out a free software to post-process your RAW files, while Nikon forces you to pay quite a lot for it. I recommend Pentax to anyone who wants to get an excellent dSLR for the price of something a lot less performant in Nikon or Canon equivalent.
So yeah, I think you should definitely make it an option!
