I did 365 Meals in a Jar, plus I have all the bread supplies for a year too. It is really, really worth it. Don’t give up, you can do it. Just start with small goals, but dream big, and one day you will find that all those small goals got you to where you wanted to be.

There is a book available at Sam’s Club called “Gifts in a Jar – Chilis and Soups” that I purchased and take the recipes from. There are actually two others as well, “Muffins and Scones” and “Cookies and Bars.” All of them are incredibly yummy – my four children and husband like them. Plus, you can go to www.recipegoldmine.com and find others. Look under “Gifts in a Jar.” It’s such an easy way to build a year’s supply of meals like we have been told to do. The photo is of my pantry in the kitchen – 365 jars fit nicely!
That is absolutely incredible. It makes me want to start putting together meals in a jar. Maybe not at the same amazing rate as you have – my DH and I are students and we can’t afford to do anything big, but one jar at a time will add up, right?

Why do we need to store a year’s supply of food please explain to me I’m ignorant of this.
