Heard on NPR today that North Carolina has on average the highest gas prices in the Country. That fact, plus the possible ecological harm induced by an auto “driven” society -its negative contribution to our environment – leads me to the decision to bike to work – 10 miles round trip – to do my small part. And burn calories at the same time.
jesus man, i’m not saying that it’s bad to use a bike but when you’re using it every day to go to work it’s a real killer!...
i’m not saying that you shoul jump back in your car seat, but having a bike it’s not a big deal….
you can ride your bike during weekends or evenings…. it’s more refreshing, you don’t want to go to work ….wet from the effort hehe
Well, hhhhhhh, I do have the option of my car during bad weather, but the point I was making is biking as much as I can. As much as you may or may not want a car, I admire that you hoof it on bike. But just how far do you have to hoof it? If its a long way I sympathize, unless you’re in prime shape.

Conversational skills actually came pretty quickly. I think its because I had actual Arabs to interact with. What is so hard is not trying to speak, hear and understand, but the script – the writing is a real bitch. I can talk elementary in Arabic, but ask me to read or write and I’m completely lost.
