i FINALLY got to see my therapist tonight. what a freaken’ load off. yay.

i can breathe a bit more.

also, in other news my family start arriving on Friday and i get to leave the care of mom, dad, the cooking, the sickness, the stress etc to Real Family while i stay at the x-x’s new place complete with pool, sea and mountain views for FOUR WEEKS.

and the x-x himself arrives in 28 hours (who’s counting?) so tomorrow night i get to have sex again. which is a great stress release…

feeling much lighter all round.

i dunno if the in between ones are easily translatable. perhaps some other SAfrican stumbles on this and can help me out…

The words are VERY rude and almost impossible to translate.

But Afrikaans is very expressive and they should be said in an explosive tone, and a very loud voice indeed.

Certain hand gestures and throttling motions could also enhance the effect.The redder your face and the more your eyes pop out, the better. Your mouth should be tight and the words must emerge from your throat in a gutteral manner, so that you sound as though you are being strangled, when that is probably what you want to do to person at whom you are swearing.
