Getting going

I’ve been collecting personal items that I want to stick into my scrapbook for weeks and today I went out to buy the actual materials. I was rather surprised at how much stuff was available – I thought that scrapbooking was more of an American trend and not that popular in the UK.

I’d been worried about finding an album because all of the ones that I’d seen so far had pre-decorated covers and I wanted to make my own, but I found a big 10 inch square one with a plain cover. It’s got 50 pages, which I’m never going to be able to fill up, but it’s good to know that if something goes wrong I have enough spare pages to be able to rip one out and start it again.

I bought some other materials as well but not as many as I’ll need (I just didn’t want to go crazy and buy everything all at once). I’m raring to get started but I’m so busy with studying at the moment. My current plan is to take short (10-15 mins) breaks from studying and start my scrapbook during the breaks.

Comments:

Man, I have been collecting so much stuff. It’s all ready to go… Just got to find the right book. Haven’t found it yet. The search is not going well…

Do you have a local Paperchase? That’s where I bought my book, it was only £7 and they had lots of different sizes. Good luck anyway, and thanks for the comment!

Ah, yes, paperchase. I love it. Will go and have a look. Thanks :-)
