It depends of course of what it is you are procrastinating about, but if it’s something you want, then you have to come to the point where you want the result more than what you have now.
With weight loss, you must get to be so tired of where you are now that you are willing to make some lifestyle changes to get to another place. If it’s writing a report, often consequences of not doing so are what propel us to action.
The whole idea of procrastination is simply that you are enjoying doing whatever you are doing instead more than you think you’d enjoying doing the task you need to do—it really comes down to motivation.

The reason you choose not to take action is because you might be feeling more negative energy compared to positive energy. If you can put a finger on the false beliefs you might hold then you would have no reason to keep yourself back (and thus procrastinate)
Good luck!
Accept that what you do won’t be good, perhaps not even acceptable, the first time. Accept that the start will be slow. Accept that you will feel stupid.
Don’t think of the desired end result: just think of taking that first step.
Locking yourself in a room with the job also works sometimes.
There is no simple single solution for all forms of procrastination.
quitejaded is packing for college
For me, the first and hardest step was STEPPING AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER! LOL!
You just have to tell yourself that its not going to get done until you DO IT and force yourself to start.
It also helped me not to have parents around who were pressuring me. I found that when I got into college, I was around their pressure less and so I had a natural inclination to do my work ANYWAY most of the time. My parents pressured me, making me want to relieve the stress and hence I procrastinate.
