Weekend happiness 10 months ago

I realized today how happy I was that the weekend had arrived. I do not believe this idea is very healthy nor productive. I want to be able to enjoy every aspect, minute and situation in my life. Isn’t that what it means to be happy anyway? I want to change my attitude badly, but I just don’t know how. I want to go back to work next week and treat it as if it was still the weekend. Any suggestions?

You don’t need to enjoy every single moment. That’s neither necessary nor possible.
Just try to live your life so you make the most and best experiences possible. That doesn’t really mean that you have to enjoy everything. Life’s more than a big party and accepting that not every aspect of it is enjoyable but yet precious is much more important.

Well, you could do something different on each day so it becomes more than “just another day.” Take a different route home, eat at a new restaurant, meet up with a friend you haven’t seen in a long time, take a walk through the park, just do something that is not part of your daily routine. It is routines that dulls the significance and importance of each day.
