I’ve always been fascinated with practically all cities on the North Sea.

Yes!

I wanted to create a list of them some time ago but it’s quite a big undertaking since there are SOO many of them..

I got to visit a great one the summer before last summer though: Bergen

The Bryggen docks neighborhood was built by the league. It’s now a world heritage site and it deservedly so. Those houses are built like ships :)

Compartments, ropes and all :-)

We went there with Smyril Line from the east of Iceland; which I also recommend. That way you’ll also get the chance to visit the Faroe Islands

Another favorite is Visby where I hope to go again this autumn for the medieval festival :-)

I’d also like to visit all of the Northern Ark, the trading network of the Norse that came before…
