my husband and i are trying to learn more effective ways of parenting and let me tell you sometimes it is hard to know when to pick your battles and which ones to pick . its even harder so far for us to realize that its not always our way or the highway and that we need to work with the kids in acheiving the goals weve set forth. discussing a solution which helps them feel like they have a part in it all is much more efective than just telling them and expecting it to be done. its just hard to remember that sometimes but were tryin!
