More jogging  — 7 months ago

I tried one of the Couch-to-5K sessions this morning. I’ve done those before, but not since I got my new phone, because this one has no buzzer on the timer, which isn’t practical for this X-minute-walking/X-minute-jogging system. It also doesn’t do seconds, so I can’t set a 90 second timer. But those are all silly excuses, so I did one of the week-3 sessions this morning anyway.

It went okay, I actually did 3 repetitions of 2min/1min/3min/3min. But it was indeed unpractical that I had to keep looking at my phone during the jogging, I couldn’t focus on my breathing and things like that. (Of course the timer does have an alarm, but lately I’ve been running with music, and music and hearing the alarm don’t go together…)

In any case, I went jogging, so no matter how it went, that’s a good thing.

Do you have an mp3 player?

Because there is a podcast of this so you don’t have to be constantly checking your watch. You can find it on itunes under “podcasts for running” or if you don’t use itunes here is the direct link: http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/page4/page4.html

Sadly, no

I don’t have an mp3 player (yet), and I wish I had, because I already found that link a while ago and it looks very good. I think I’ll try and see if I can borrow a housemate’s mp3 player sometimes. Not everybody uses it early in the morning :)

Thanks for the reminder about those podcasts!
