So in 2007, I took a painting class in college. I had to paint self portraits, food, and geometric still lifes. Also brown paper bag still life. We learned both oil and arcylic. Started in black and white and slowly moved up to color.

I now own a whole set of oil paints, I have brushes, easel, everything I would need to paint. I feel that I’ve overcome my fears, such as public criticism, and making that first mark on a blank canvas.

I got a B in the class and now when I just want to get away from the computer, I can paint. This was always what I wanted and I think that I’ve achomplished my goal. I keep a sketch journal so when I think up stuff that I would love to paint, I mark it in there and when I have the time I will get to it.
