Quit Smoking (read all 3 entries…)
Some surprising findings 22 months ago

After smoking for over 30 years and ending up on two packs a day and, not even really wanting to give up, I would have thought that it would be impossible for me to go a day …

But, I have not smoked since September 2007.

Having had some serious problems triggered by Nicorette patches, I’ve done this entirely “cold turkey” since about the 10th day too and, though I will always consider myself as merely a “recovering smoker”, I’m quite impressed with myself.

Good for you, there is nothing better to do health wise.

Keep it up!

kudos.

Way to go. Keep up the comments, they give us all encouragement.

NOT EVEN ONE PUFF!

The “recovering smoker” thing makes a lot of sense. It seems to me the moment I think I’m all badass and can just dabble in smoking, I start to slip down that slope into full on buying packs and smoking throughout the day. My motto this time is NOT EVEN ONE PUFF!

That's awesome

Very inspiring as someone who has stopped smoking just 4 weeks ago. You should be very proud of your accomplishment and I think your perspective as a “recovering smoker” is a smart one—it’s a process and one that requires the commitment to stay a non-smoker. Congratulations.
