Bicycle 200 miles in January (read all 10 entries…)

One good thing about pouring down rain is I don’t have to worry about ice!

I went to Ballard and back up to Capitol Hill, where my friends were cooking a wonderful dinner of tomato and cucumber salad, buckwheat, sauteed spinach and mushrooms, seared sea scallops, and some excellent bourbon bread pudding to top it off (good way to end Health Month early, heh). And not only that, I got to try out their slankets.

Just in time too, as I’m on a plane to New York tomorrow. And while the “bike route to Seatac” signs have intrigued me, I don’t want to try them out quite yet…

Bicycling to the airport

I’ve done it, but not for an extended trip. I’d be very nervous about leaving my bike sitting out there for more than a day or two.

I wish they had secure bicycle parking – that’d be totally cool.
