i agree that it is wise to watch out for falsities, but being somewhat of a relativist i have a hard time passing judgment on the what kind of information is totally misleading…i suppose if you read a book that leaves you hating a particular facet of humanity, you may have stumbled upon something unseelie, but still how do you know? reaaaaallly know.
one has to go from one’s own heart and one’s own experience
i agree that meditation and prayer are useful tools, but they certainly aren’t the only ones, nor do i even think they are absolutely necessary in order to gain a deeper understanding of oneself or of the universe at large…for me prayer is more of a result than a tool to gain that type of consciousness
and with things like acid, it’s much more easy to be careful than people think…meditating prior to an experience like that is definitely a plus, but if one studies enough about the effects of the substance (i mean really really research) and chooses the envirnoment wisely, it’s hard for things to spiral absolutely out of control…i wrote an entry about this if you wanna read it
but you definitely raise some interesting issues…hence why evolving in such ways is not any easy task, or one that comes with just one life on this planet (at least not often)
