Odd

Isn’t it odd that I don’t have an entry about keeping a journal?
I thought it was.
I tried blogging but that does not work for me.
May have to try pen and paper…oh how old fashioned.

Wilford Woodruff, I wish I could be as diligent as you were.

I prefer a paper journal.

I feel very strongly about it, actually.

I’ve tried writing on the computer but it just isn’t the same. It’s so… impersonal to me. Sure, it’s easy to rearrange the entry. There’s a spellchecker to make sure there aren’t any grammatical mistakes. And it’s easy to edit the content—you can erase and add comments at will. The entry would be more polished if written via the computer (heck, I’ve edited this entry a dozen times or so to correct for spelling errors, rearrange my sentences, and add a title instead of just jumping into the entry).

But I like the free-flowing form of using pen against paper. My thoughts come out in any order without regard to what is proper and what isn’t. And I can’t change them or take the edge off my words once they’re written. I have to cross things out if I make a mistake. Even the way I write emphasizes my state of mind: if I’m aggitated, my letters are rushed, cramped, and sloppy; if I’m happy, I take more care with my writing. All of that is lost through the computer.

My suggestion is obvious: go the old-fashioned route.

lovenpaz is chillin before working at a middle school tomorrow

...and then i wondered what else i could possibly contribute that i dont already put in my own journal??? however, i think i’ll just see how long i can blog, and hopefully get some awesome responses. im looking forward to this new way of documenting..
