Here we go!

I’ve been unhappy with my weight for a while now. I always say I’m going to try to lose weight and then I end up gaining more. I think the problem is I just don’t stay motivated so I’m hoping writing on here will help.

Initial Weight: 160lbs
Goal 1 (March 30): 150lbs
Goal 2 (May 30): 140lbs
Goal 3 (Sep 30): 130lbs

Any advice on how I can stay motivated? I know that rewarding myself is good but big rewards when I reach a goal don’t really work for me.

You should remind yourself of why you want to lose weight.
Maybe make a list!
Lists are fun.
Come here often, and read other people’s posts.
Especially the ones where people are losing weight slowly and healthily.
You should always be optimistic.
Comment people, like I am commenting you.
It helps the person who posted the post, and it helps yourself.
Try hard, and you can create healthy patterns and make better choices.
Maybe buy a dress in a size you wish to be, and think of how lovely you’ll be once you fit in it.
Put on pants that are too large, and feel proud of how you already lost weight.

i think this is a great goal!! I’m in the process of attempting this as well, and it does get hard at times. I’ve tried numerous times, but for some reason i know this time it will work. The motivation i have is looking better in my clothes, but that hasn’t always worked. Mainly it helps that i got rid of most of the bread products(crackers, cake, pretzels, chips, french fries, etc) in my diet and I replaced it with high protein stuff(like eggs, tuna, chicken etc) and i avoid fat or carbs after 6. Sorry i’m rambling, but it’s been working for me(so far only one week, but i feel good!) and i thought maybe this could help…Good luck!!
