move to Singapore
Singapore is the suburb of Asia

As somebody who’s lived in Singapore for many years, I have to ask why would you want to move here?

I’d recommend Kuala Lumpur, Banagalore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, or Taipei if you’re looking for a new experience in an Asian metropolis. All are much more dynamic and fun to explore than Singapore. The food’s alright here and things are quite efficient, but otherwise it isn’t very happening.

However, if you must, let me know if I can help.

Hmmm

So why then are you still there?

I would say the same thing about my own home city. Dublin is frustrating as hell but still people want to live here.

I have personal reasons for wanting to move there

Thanks for your comments. I have not been to most of the cities you describe except HK. And after reading your comments I would like to visit them. I have been to Singapore many times and liked it enough bt I didnt go for the scenery. I know someone there that is very dear to me and seeing how she is not in a position to move to Australia I am going to move to Singapore. As far as I know I need to secure employment and sponsorship there first to get an employment pass and then a PR. As it is I have not received any offers.

I am encouraged by your interest in this. Knowing that there are others in a similar situation of wanting to move to singapore, albeit under their own specific or perhaps similar circumstances certainly is encouraging.

why?

I visited it a few weeks ago again and I absolutely love the nature. I enjoyed every minute of the stay to see such lush vegetation. The wild animals and the parks are just my thing.

Other than that the advertising culture is very high in Singapore which is my profession. I’d love to work there.

I used to live in China and I really like the Chinese attitude towards life and Singapore has a great mix of the Chinese culture and western athmosphere.

media openings in Singapore

I’m looking out for a job opp in Singapore in the media line. Preferably in radio where I’ve gained a big chunk of my creative experience. Have also done time in both mobile and online, so digital media is another possibility for me. My wife and I are planning to move to Singapore, since we’ve been doing a background check on the place, and it seems quite favourable at the moment.

I’ve been checking out all possible job sites for such media openings, but the way it seems, the best way to a media company is through a personal contact. I’d really appreciate it if there’s any way possible you could help put me in touch with a media contact in Singapore. If need be, I’ll hop across to Singapore to take things further.

Needing some help :)

Hey Trevor, I am new to this site so I still have no idea what Im doing… haha. I was hoping that you could help me get some online resources etc. to get my process going. My husband and I are moving to Singapore in about 6 months. We are actually going to be part of Joseph Prince Ministries. Do you know of any websites that would be helpful for getting our paper work to be able to work in the country and also any good job sites? Your help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!
