If I can get the days off from work, I would love to go back to London for a week in March. I’ve been there twice before and haven’t had very pleasant experiences but I would like to give the city another chance and actually try British food this time and interact more with the locals.

Ahhhh, as someone who’s grown up near London and lived right in London for a few years… What didn’t you like about it? The fact is london is such a cosmopolitan city that it’ll be hard finding Brits to hang out with, but there are many great scenes – London is divided into lots of mini cities, or towns… the ‘rocker/punk/indie’ area of Camden, the more continental sidewalk cafe, genteel Angel & Islington, the artsy-boho theatreland of Soho, Covent Garden, Charing Cross, the slick City, the walks along the South Bank… It depends what you like! There is much to be found in london, but it can be a bit daunting if you are there for a few days and only have a guidebook to assist you!
