January update

I let down my guards and went on a date with someone outside of my race. I met him on MySpace (which in itself was a new venture. I have never quite believed in internet dating.) and he was nice, but I wasn’t attracted to him. My friends were pleased that I at least gave him a chance, as I also was pleased with myself.

Put up your dukes

C’mon girl. What’s this stuff about letting your guards down? You’d better put up your dukes and fight for a good man. Who cares what race he belongs to, as long as he is good to and for you. But, yeah, watch out for the internet dating thing. It can be great at times, but there are some serious nutters stalking the web. FYI: A man is a man is a man. I have dated throughout the rainbow spectrum, and the only thing I know for sure is that a man is a man is a man. LOL

Good for You!!

The only way to expand the comfort zone is to step outside of it, and it sounds like you did that on several levels with this experience.

Gwendolyn is right about letting down your guards: I’ve had my heart broken more than once, and I can tell you that it always, always heals.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained… but it sounds like you ventured out this month! Good progress!
