Valentine's Day 17 months ago

For the second year in a row, I made heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast on Valentine’s Day. Many of them ended up looking like misshapen little blobs, but these in particular came out at least resembling hearts. This may be a tradition that sticks. :D

Heart shaped waffles

would be a good idea for Valentine’s too. :P

When we were kids, my grandmother would make us animal-shaped pancakes when we visited. I can’t help but make some of those whenever I make pancakes now. Kids really seem to like them. : )

Well if you don’t like pancakes, you can make your wife heart-shaped muffins next year! After you’ve poured the batter into the paper muffin cups, just stick a glass marble in between the paper liner and the edge of the tin before baking them. The marble will make an indentation in the batter and Voila! when you pull them out of the oven, you’ll have muffin hearts. :P

I think this goal is amazing and touching. It’s nice to make certain things special in life and you seem to be working hard at creating memories for your family.

I can’t wait till I have a family of my own one day to do this for. :D

I love that idea. My mother used to make smiley face pancakes. One of her holiday things was food coloring. On valentines day she would put red food coloring in the milk for my cereal, and on st patrick’s day, green, etc.
